Experience dining in complete darkness
a journey that blends taste, awareness, and inclusion.
Inspired by the remarkable story of Salma Raffoul, the Blind Chef who passionately pursued her culinary dreams despite losing her sight, our project draws inspiration from her resilience and determination.
PWDs, especially those with visual impairments, will actively contribute to the project's design and execution, leveraging their unique insights to shape the advocacy and artistic experience.
One of the leaders in empowering PWDs is launching this spin-off blind-friendly dining concept that extends to advocacy in the hospitality sector for PWDs.
The primary goal of this project is to actively advocate for the rights of PWDs within the hospitality sector.
Black Light for Hospitality and Advocacy complements shareQ's mission, which fosters the inclusion of People with Disabilities within society.
Get to experience food as someone with full visual impairment, helping you re-invent the way you enjoy food and genuinely connect with others.
More than just food… The experience will create momentum which will transfer into actionable steps towards inclusion. The Black Light Experience is hosted in Aintoura – Keserwan and other locations in the future, where participants dine in total darkness.
Once the experience is completed, stakeholders will sign the pledge of inclusion of PWDs within the labor sector and different areas of life.
The project develops a pledge and advocacy materials as entry points to engage clients and key stakeholders.
The black Light experience builds momentum.
By experiencing Black Light, you become an advocate for disability inclusion!
Black Light will keep on capturing success stories, challenges, and measuring progress in societal perceptions and inclusion (Law 220/2000 & UNCRPD).
